Medieval Times~ 8 Thumbs up! {Review&Giveaway} CLOSED

Glad tidings M'Lords and M'Ladies! Last week my family had the privilege of entering the realm of valor and chivalry. Do you know where we were? Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament in Toronto of course!

As special guests of the castle, we were bestowed  King's Royalty Package tickets that included
  • VIP First-Row, All Sections or Second-Row, Center Section Seating
  • Framed Entrance Group Photo
  • Commemorative Program
  • Knight's Cheering Banner
  • "Behind the Scenes" DVD (One Per Party)
Even though we had front row seats(which was fantastic!) I think the view would be great from all areas because of the stadium-type seating.

My family consists of myself, my husband and two teen girls.  Anyone who has teenagers knows how hard it is to get them to participate in a "family fun" outing.  I was surprised at how excited they were(just like when they were younger, I miss that!)

The Castle opens 75 minutes before the show.  It is the perfect time to walk around the castle, get a drink from the bar and visit the horses and gift shops.  MOST importantly get your crown and picture taken with the King or Princess.

The smell of food wafting through the castle was intoxicating, we are a family who loves to eat!  On the bill of fare was:
Garlic bread, Tomato Bisque soup,  oven roasted chicken, herb-roasted potato and buttered corn on the cob.  For dessert, pastry of the castle(we had butter tarts) coffee and tea.  Your wench (waitress) will come by twice to fill up your beverage (Pepsi or water). Vegetarian,  Halal and Kosher meals are also available upon request when booking your tickets. Kudos to the kitchen staff for providing a great meal to such a large crowd!

Now, about the show.  It is packed with dramatic horsemanship, falconry, sword play and a fantastic  jousting tournament that will make you cheer like crazy for your knight! Go red and yellow Knight!  I can only image the intense training that the knights under take to be able to perform with such agility and strength. (they are also easy on the eyes ;)
 Falconry, just amazing to watch!
Sword play while on horse back.  Now that takes skill!
If you are a very lucky young lady your knight may just throw a flower your way!
Once the show was over and we were on our way home my girls asked if we could go back again soon.  Finally, something we did together that made everyone happy!  I honestly think that this is a great venue for all ages.  My daughter's told my In-laws all about the show and the were so interested that I think they will be planning a visit soon!

I have 4 general admission tickets to give away to one lucky reader.  Tickets are valid until September 1/2015.
